The GeoDiscovery Group (GD) is a successful Australian-based mineral exploration and geophysical consultancy backed by experienced industry professionals with recognised management and technical skills. GD covers the key areas of expertise required for integrated base and precious metal, coal, diamond and industrial mineral exploration and discovery. GD provides access to a highly flexible and motivated team approach that can accelerate all aspects of exploration from conceptual models to terrane selection, target generation, target definition and drill testing, together with project management and assessment.

Since inception in 1999 the group has provided specialist services, project management and generated business opportunities for a wide range of major and junior companies. GD people have supported our clients and their projects throughout Australia and in Canada, Africa, Fennoscandinavia, China, Korea, south-east Asia, Argentina and Uruguay for a broad range of commodities and deposit types.

As an example of a successful commercial undertaking GD played a leading role in the formation and float of Copper Strike Ltd in 2004 by taking to the market a portfolio of Teck Cominco base metal projects in north Queensland.

The Annual Geoscience Exploration Seminar (AGES) conference presented by the Northern Territory Geological Survey is designed to showcase the NT Government's Exploration Initiative. This ongoing initiative involves a strong client focus via free and rapid distribution of data, and the capacity for explorers to access land, to give the Northern Territory a competitive edge on the national and global scene. For the first time AGES 2003 included presentations from explorers currently active in the NT including De Beers, Tanami Gold, Rio Tinto, Compass Resources, Newmont, Arafura Resources, Cameco, Elkedra Diamonds, Anglogold and the GeoDiscovery Group.

View the GeoDiscovery presentation on how the data supplied by the NT initiative in the Paleoproterozoic Arunta Inlier was used to fast track base metal project and target generation and create an alliance between Teck Cominco, BHP Billiton and junior companies with land holdings in the region (1.7 Mb).
